Within Nature's Design

In this show, photographer Sarah Oros demonstrates her remarkable ability to capture the intricate details and unique qualities of fossil, agate, jasper, gem, and mineral specimens. Each stone was cut, carved, and hand polished before she preserved each specimen’s beauty in her photographs. The pictures are printed on a mix of medium including white aluminum, canvas, and luster paper.

Sarah is currently in her last year of the Biomedical Photographic Communications program at Rochester Institute of Technology. She is scheduled to graduate in May 2012 with a concentration in Magnified Imaging. Her interests are paleontology, microscopy, and mineralogy, and she was PRI’s Photographer in Residence this summer. Sarah is honored to have an exhibit at the Museum of the Earth and thanks her PRI colleagues for this opportunity.

The show runs through February 20, 2013.
